| The kitchen cabinet doors are manufactured in Malmö at the Fosie industrial area. They consist of the so-called MDF boards. They have been named after the English "Medium Density Fibre" and are of wooden fibre boards consisting of compressed powdered wood. The design on the doors is made by a CNC-router. | ![]() |

The cabinet doors are then sprayed with a thin layer of glue from a spray gun. In able to make the doors durable with respect to moist and the warm kitchen environment, the glue which is used is both moist- and heat resistant. The glue is water-based so we avoid strong solvents in the manufacturing process. |
| The finished sprayed kitchen cabinet doors dry quickly when placed in the drying wagons and after one hour they can be processed in the vacuum press. The foil shall be placed not later than eight hours after the glue has dried in able ensure heat and moisture durability. | ![]() |

The kitchen cabinet doors are placed on the press table of the vacuum press. The press presses
the foil firmly and at the same time heating the foil so it becomes elastic and can follow the edges
on the doors without any splices. The foil is cut and checked so that the parts remain
fixed on the table - while the small dust particles are blown away with compressed air. |
| Afterwards the whole table with the cabinet doors and foil are rolled in the heated press. Approximately 2,5-3 ton/square-cm pressure is exerted on the door. The high pressure and the high heat enables the elastic foil to fill out the cutting and edges. One can say that the foil is almost welded on the cabinet door. | ![]() |

The foil is approx. 0,35 mm thick and comes in different colours and wooden
design. The wooden design is produced by photographing real wood. This
photo is then transferred to the foil in such a way that the design is
repeated very lightly so that the feeling of real wood is experienced.
The foil is then coloured in different dye-baths. The combination
of dye-bath - wooden structure is unique for each foil. Remember that our cabinet doors are not made of wood. On the contrary, they are a better alternative to wooden doors, taking into consideration wear and tear, quality and easy to keep clean. |
| The cabinet doors are cut clean at the edges and polished carefully. This final finishing touch is done manually as cabinet doors which leave Scandoor shall be of utmost quality. | ![]() |
